Meet the stunning and multi-talented Deniz Tumanbay who recently produced a must-see short film and works for our favorite fashion brand Melati.
T: What’s one thing that can instantly make your day better?
D: Being surrounded by my girlfriends and going to the seaside.
T: What’s the career highlight you’re most proud of?
D: I think that’s yet to come, as I started working (in fashion) just 8 months ago. My achievements so far are producing a short film and being part of the quick growth of fashion brand Melati in such a short period of time.
T: What’s the scariest thing you’ve ever done?
D: Moving to the Netherlands at the age of 11, without speaking the language or knowing anyone except my mother. Adapting.
T: What made you interested in working in your current field of work?
D: My grandmother, who is an haute couture seamstress, introduced me to fashion. My mom always made sure I was indulged in art and creativity. So with her encouragement and Melati, the existing label of my best friend, the choice was made up easily.
T: Which of your personal traits become fully effective at work?
D: Always trying to achieve the optimal results without limiting myself to small thinking.
T: What’s your favorite meal?
D: Anything seafood.
