Interview

INTERVIEW WITH PIP PETERS

Meet Pip Peters, a beautiful creative soul working for the Fashion industry not only as a model but as a stylist and editor as well. Her strong personality and her unique style make her truly special. Read the interview below to find out interesting curiosities about her works.

T: When do you feel most creative?

P: When I’m surrounded by my loved ones (and after 11 PM, haha, that’s quite annoying). A lot of my friends also work in the creative industry, as well as my little sister and both of my parents. I love to create/ work with others, it’s way more fun than doing everything on your own. I think it’s so cool and helpful to exchange ideas and thoughts. Better together 🙂

But, my parents are my biggest inspiration. Ever since I was little they’ve always supported me to chase my dreams. My dad is a singer/ actor/ entertainer and my mom is a writer. I could not be more proud of them and feel so incredibly blessed that I can call them ‘MY parents’.

T: Is there one brand that you truly admire?

P: Currently that would be ‘Vinny’, owned by Bryony, a girlfriend of mine. She recently launched her bodywear brand and It’s to die for. I’m living in mine for the last few weeks, refuse to wear anything else haha. Aside from the absolutely perfect fit, I really admire the fact that she is very honest and transparent about the production process. Here’s a short quote you can find on her website, concerning brand responsibility: “We believe that no fashion brand today should market themselves as ‘sustainable’ as the industry thrives off consumption and newness, which is why we avoid using this phrase altogether. As a new brand, we want to be honest that we are at the start of our journey and still have a lot to do when it comes to improving our environmental practices.”

Also, as I mentioned earlier, the fit, as well as the colors/ fabric/ design, is a-freaking-mazing. #TeamVinny

T: If your creative work was edible, what would it taste like?

P: Like a cocktail (not eatable though. May I choose drinks over food?). I feel passionate about a lot of different things. Styling, modeling, but also acting, singing, and writing. My goal is to do what makes me happy and leave a mark.

T: What if people don’t like what you created?

P: I’d wish I could say that I don’t care, but I do. Throughout the years I’ve learned to let go more often and to like myself more. But, like everything in life, it’s a process and I’m still learning every day.

T: What is the last thing you learned?

P: Something I’m currently working on is saying “no” and standing up for myself. Another thing I’m learning is to be more open and share my thoughts/ feelings with the people close to me. I’ve experienced that as a result of me being more emotionally vulnerable the connections with my friend have become way stronger.

T: If you could choose a theme song for the rest of your life, what would it be?

P: More Than A Woman – Bee Gees. It’s literally my theme song, haha. Every time I listen to it my body starts to dance. And when I’m walking outside I treat the world like a catwalk and life like it’s a movie. Haha, I’m a little theatrical sometimes.

T: What are your words of wisdom for someone starting out in your fields?

P: “Work is love made visible.” A phrase from a beautiful poem, written by Kahlil Gibran. When I’m on set as a model, but also when I’m working as a stylist, your passion and emotions decide the result.
